As so often happens, I was wrong. Square Fish is the publisher now, which is described on the back cover as an imprint of MacMillan, even though the title page still has Henry Holt and Company after Square Fish. I still enjoy the title-page's monkey-artist sitting on a book and creating a pen-and-ink sketch of a dandy fox. This monkey comes complete with beret and scarf! This copy means that I have been finding Michael Hague Aesop books for thirty-five years!
