Corporate Libraries: A Confluence of Forces Pressing on their Future
(American Research Institute for Policy Development, 2014-03) . Matarazzo, James M; Pearlstein, Toby
The authors briefly survey the literature of the past twenty-five years on survival and sustainability of corporate libraries and the ongoing confluence of forces challenging information professionals working in them to demonstrate how they contribute to their employer’s organizational goals. The question posed throughout the period reviewed remains the same: Despite warnings that if they don’t act dire consequences will result; why aren’t information professionals taking the lead in aggressively demonstrating how they contribute to their organization’s success? ____________________________________________________

The environmental movement and its critics
    (Springer, 2011) Sills, David L.
The past decade has witnessed a sharpened interest, among both the public and scientists, in manls environment- often but not alwaysw ith referencet o a so-called environmental crisis. There has been vastly increased attention in the mass media; it is reported that some 300 books on the environment, on ecology, and on pollution were published in the United States in 1972 alone (Sinclair, 1973, p. 176); there has been a dramatic increase both in the size of existing voluntary associations devoted to the improvement or preservation of some aspect of the environment and in the number of new ones; public information and educational activities have flourished; the use of litigation in order to achieve environmental goals has become common; and the terms "environment"

Information seeking behaviour of different types of users in selected libraries of Delhi
    (2013-06) Prabha, Kumud.
Libraries and information systems are designed and built with the primary objective of meeting the information needs of a group of people who constitute their clientele. In the past, information systems and services were developed based more on ‘literary warrant’ rather than ‘users warrant’. In fact, the key to the aims, directions and contents of any and all information activities is the users.

    Economies of scale
(Scholarly Research Publisher, 2015) Anwar, Rana Salman; Ali, Salman
Information about economies of scale are essential for regulatory and organization decisions. Because of its arrangement, the financial business also provides us with an outstanding source of data for measuring the cost function. Economies of scale gives a way to businesses for maximizing their production and minimizing the cost of that production. Businesses control their cost with the help of internal economies of scale and external economies of scale analysis. This study propose a critical review of the publish literature for clarification of the concept.

    The Purpose of Trade Agreements
    (Princeton University,, 2016) Grossman, G.M.
In this chapter, I review the literature on governments’ motivations for negotiating and joining international trade agreements. I discuss both normative explanations for trade agreements and explanations based on political-economy concerns. Most of the chapter focuses on the purpose of multilateral agreements, but I do discuss briefly the reasons we might see governments forming preferential or regional trade agreements that exclude some countries.

Special Libraries: Putting Knowledge To Work
(Walter Thompson .Co, 1976-07) CHRISTIANSON, ELIN B
ALTHOUGH THE TERM special library embraces specialized libraries and specialized collections of many types, the strength and vigor of the special library movement have come from the libraries serving business, industry, and government. These new forms of special libraries, founded as working collections to provide efficient information service, emerged in the first decades of the twentieth century as a vigorous new movement, sharply differentiated from both the mainstream of librarianship at the time and from special libraries of earlier years. In 1928, Frederick Austin Ogg wrote, “The growth of special libraries is the outstanding feature of library history in the past twenty years.”! This statement was reaffirmyears later by Jesse Shera, who characterized the twentieth the era of special libraries and specialized services.* .
